Reddit monitoring that ends in a reply, not a link
Upfront searches Reddit for your keywords every few hours, scores each new thread for fit, and sends the good ones to Telegram with a reply already drafted.
We launched last month and I keep finding threads about us days late. How do people monitor Reddit without checking it all day?
F5Bot is free and emails you keyword matches, a good start. If you also want help replying, full disclosure, I work on Upfront: it scores new threads and drafts a reply you post yourself.
Reddit threads rank on Google for years
A thread asking "best X for Y" keeps pulling search traffic long after it's posted. A useful, disclosed reply in the first hours sits near the top of that thread for everyone who finds it later.
Early replies get seen
Comments posted while a thread is fresh collect the votes that keep them near the top. Upfront checks every 4 hours so you're early.
Search engines quote Reddit
Reddit threads show up in Google results and get cited by AI search. A good answer there keeps working.
People ask in plain words
"Any VPN without an email?" is a buying question. Keyword monitoring catches it even when nobody names your brand.
Set up Reddit monitoring in three steps
Add keywords
The phrases people use when they need you, like "vpn without email" or "alternative to Mailchimp".
Pick subreddits or all of Reddit
Narrow to r/privacy and r/VPN, or leave it open and let the fit score filter.
Get drafts in Telegram
Each thread worth answering arrives with a score, a reason and a reply you can paste.
Keyword alerts without the noise
Raw Reddit alerts are mostly memes, giveaways and unrelated uses of your keyword. Upfront reads each match and scores whether a reply from your team would actually help.
- 1 to 10 fit score with a reason
- Only scores of 7 and up become drafts
- Threads older than 48 hours are skipped
Comments Reddit users don't downvote on sight
Drafts answer the question first, mention good alternatives fairly, and disclose your affiliation in the same sentence as your product. That's the format that survives on Reddit.
- 50 to 120 words, plain text, no links
- No invented personal experiences
- Rewrite with an instruction like "shorter"
"Used Acme VPN on my trip to Bali, worked perfectly, highly recommend!"
Invented experience, no disclosure, bannableMullvad and IVPN both give you an account number instead of an email, and both take Monero. Proton needs an email. Disclosure: I work on Acme VPN, which also works without one. If you already trust Mullvad, it's a solid pick.

How often does Upfront check Reddit?
Every 4 hours by default. New threads from the last 48 hours that match your keywords are scored, and the ones worth answering arrive as drafts.
Can I monitor specific subreddits only?
Yes. Add subreddits during setup or later in /settings and Upfront limits its search to them. Leave the list empty to search all of Reddit.
Do I need a Reddit API key?
No. Upfront reads Reddit's public search feeds and shares results between users with the same keywords, so request volume stays low.
Can I track mentions of my brand or competitors?
Yes. Add your brand name and competitor names as keywords. A thread asking "X vs Y" is often the best place to reply.
Does Upfront comment on Reddit for me?
No. It drafts the comment and links the thread. You post it from your own account, which is what keeps it within Reddit's rules.
